Pastor

God has given me the wonderful privilige to serve as pastor of New Columbus since January 2007. He has blessed me with a loving wife who supports me in ministry beyond my dreams. We have two sons. Jacob was born in 1997 and Adam in 1999. Both boys have been a wonderful blessing and addition to our family.

Before coming to New Columbus, I served as a deacon for five years at Smiths Grove Baptist in Warren County, KY. After serving as a deacon, I was recognized as an elder and served as elder until coming to New Columbus.

I began my seminary training in 2004 at Southern Seminary and I completed a masters in theology in 2008.

My desire at New Columbus is to see people praising God with their whole life.  I became a follower of Christ when I was nine years old and it took me several years to realize that God had created me for worship.  If I am obedient; everything I do in ministry and in my personal live is an effort to see God glorified.

I believe my main job at New Columbus is the ministry of the Word.  I try to explain the Biblical text the way God wants it explained and I try to apply the Biblical truths to our everyday lives.  I use an expositional method of preaching which means the point of the passage is the point of my sermon.
